You can also choose your jeans size according to width and length

As with your jeans, you choose the size of our coats based on the back length and chest width. You choose the coat size from our table according to the back length of your dog. Your dog's chest circumference determines the chest band size.

With these two measurements you can put together your dog sweater individually for your furry friend.

For example, if your dog is particularly slim, simply choose a smaller chest band size. If your dog is larger and stronger, simply choose a chest band size one or two sizes larger.

The days when coats were too wide or too short for your dog are over. You also buy your jeans to fit your body measurements. So why buy standard sizes for your dog?

Practical, simply detach and wash

After a long walk with your dog through mud or dust, the chest band made of water-repellent material is simply wiped off with a damp cloth - or you can separate the chest band and put it in the washing machine at 30°C on a gentle cycle.

Our chest straps can be easily removed using a Velcro fastener and replaced with a different colored chest strap at any time. This means you can adjust the color of the design of your dog sweater at any time.

Ideal for dish carriers

By the way, your dog can also wear a harness under the LUDWIG sweater. Thanks to the long 2-way zipper on the back of the sweater, the leash can be ideally guided through the sweater and locked in the appropriate place with the two zippers.

When choosing the size of the chest strap, make sure that the circumference of the harness is taken into account.

Your dog’s safety is also taken into consideration

A big plus for your dog's safety: Each chest strap has a reflective band all around, so that your dog can be clearly seen in traffic even in poor lighting conditions.

LUDWIG is washable at 30 degrees

Of course, the LUDWIG dog sweater can also be washed. If you want it to look like new for a long time, we recommend using a liquid detergent and washing on a gentle cycle at 30°C with a maximum of 800 spin revolutions. Do not dry LUDWIG in the tumble dryer, just hang it on the line.

Please take your time and measure your dog correctly.
This is the only way you can determine the right coat size.

1. Your dog must stand upright and straight during the measurement , with the head in an upright position as shown in the illustration.
2. Back length (green line): Please measure with a flexible tape measure the length between the bottom edge of a loose-fitting collar along the back line to the base of the tail.
3. Chest circumference (orange line) To determine the chest circumference, please measure the circumference of your dog’s chest with a measuring tape at the widest or highest point . If your dog regularly wears a harness under his coat or has a lot of fur, please take this additional circumference into account.
4. Neck circumference (purple line) To determine the correct neck circumference, place a tape measure around your dog's neck and measure the circumference where your dog normally wears the collar. Allow two fingers of space between the tape measure and the neck.
